The University of Minnesota-sponsored project, Advancing Adoption of Integrated Pest and Pollinator Management in the Midwest, will host a series of focus groups this winter to discuss pollinator benefits and grower resources needed to support the more than 500 wild pollinators documented in Minnesota (Portman et al. 2023). Information gathered during the focus groups will be used to produce a technical guide about pollinator best practices for Midwest farms as well as a UMN Extension website and programming committed to providing growers with access to the latest pollinator resources.
We invite you to join a 1-hour focus group either in person or by zoom. Two of the in-person focus groups will be held at winter grower conferences, including one next week at the Minnesota Fruit and Vegetable Grower Association Expo! The third in-person focus group will be hosted by the MN Bee Lab in St. Paul (there will be an optional tour after our discussion). No pollinator management experience required! Growers who are selected for the focus group will receive a $25 VISA gift card.
